Welcome to Farragar.co.uk!

Farragar is an 19 year old level designer, programmer and Computer Science student, this website was created mainly to promote my Portal maps, but may be updated at some point to hold more information

When I'm not mapping or playtesting you can expect I'll either be playing games, guitar, or checking emails/XKCD/Kotaku/Slashdot

Given my intense distaste for website-building, I've used a free CC licenced template to create this site. Further details are at the bottom.

Anything of mine you see on this website (including all files) is henceforth licenced under a Creative-Commons iattribution non-commercial sharealike international 3.0 licence

    More SDK information

If you're interested in learning more about mapping or the hammer editor, feel free to drop me an email (contact.) All of the following sites have been selected because they're some of the most useful places for learning, or getting help with, the Source SDK.

  • 'Valve Developer Wiki'.
  • Totally invaluable, documentation on every entity; brush type; Console command; optimisation technique, and anything else you can think of.

  • 'Interlopers' Active Source modding/mapping community, with great forums.
  • 'HalfWit 2' series of tutorials, where I first learnt how to use the SDK and extremley useful. Be careful though - these only teach how and not why
  • 'Thinking With Portals' Although now so active any more, these (specifically Portal) mapping forums have some great information in them.
  • 'Google' When all else is lost, just Google it! (Although mostly useful for finding the meaning of a compile log string - Don't expect to find decent entity documentation)
